Youth is Wasted

It seems like people can never be happy with what they have. When I was young and had to eat at the little table, I wished that I was old enough to run away and join the circus. When I was seventeen, I couldn’t wait for twenty-one so I could be an adult. Somewhere about 55, I wished that 65 would hurry up and get here so I could retire. Now that I’m old what do you think comes out of my mouth? “I wish I could be young again.”

The older I get
the younger I want to be—
Wisdom comes with age
