Let It Shine
Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Darkness fades
Into the morning’s soft
Breath, silencing the promises,
Dusk’s gentle caress,
Bleeding sapphire glimpses
Through the spirit who reflects
Songs of light, gently blessing
Away the cloak of black.
As the light blends with mists,
Heavy, falling on the dawn,
Whispering beauty, soundless music,
Stirring the laughter of a rose,
Blending the dew, dust and charm,
So each winsome silence
Sends hearts the music only found,
In hearts who believe – in souls who agree…
With the dawn, comes hope and praise,
Erasing the stillness of a night
Who breaks the heart with feelings so dark,
Feelings who can’t see beyond the grief,
Feelings who would agree that love is felt,
By the souls who know the darkest doubts,
But find the light of a morning’s truth,
The beautiful that comes to those who…
Seek Him and find Him, in the quiet thought,
In the blessing of dawn,
In the beautiful of a heart,
In the silence of a star,
In the wonder of it all…
Seek Him and find Him, even in the night,
When the blessings are out of sight,
When the blackness stills the hope,
When the gestures of doubt decay,
When the light is so far away….
Seek Him and find Him, wherever you go,
Through tests and trials,
Through sorrows and pain,
Through fears and tears,
Through it all, come what may….
Listen to His voice – it’s a rising chorus…
Beyond the stars, the moon, the sun,
Beyond the breathless hopes, the dreams,
Beyond the feelings, the grace, the memories,
Beyond even the lessons and longings,
Beyond it all – there is His promise….
He will ever be there, abiding in the soul,
Assuring those who know…
He is the answer to every heart
He is the One who brings sweet hope.
He is the LOVE that comes to show…
With Him, there is no need to fear.
With Him, there is no need for tears.
With Him, there is faith and a prayer….
That never fades and never fails.
With HIM, there is grace that never ends!
Listen to His voice and make that choice…
To give Him all you are – to give Him your heart,
So that He can create something worthy
Of the love that He brought when He saved you.
Listen to the voice that gives you the choice….
To love with a heart that glows with God’s light!
Let it shine!
