Frosty

Frosty

He can’t feel his fingers
They’ve gone numb
He built a snow girl
a beautiful one

Fashioned with snow
He gave her soft mitts
She’s perfectly sculpted
with ruby red lips

He kissed those red lips
brought her to life
Sexy with curves
Would she be his wife

When things got hot
She melted in his arms
I guess in the end
She succumbed to his charms.

Nice oxymoron of a poem, Richard. A hot frosty! I enjoy reading your latest poem, my friend. Have a great week! Bill

Aw, such a delightful romance! If Frosty can get his snow-girl to melt in his arms he's definitely doing something right, though the joy can be short-lived in matters of love and/or snow. A wonderful piece and an especially wonderful last stanza for a thought-provoking finale. Warmest wishes my poet friend.. ~Susan

Ahh what a charming, romantic, poem, Richard with a touch of "frosty" humor for good measure! I love the underlying intimation that she will be back every year from the first snowfall to spring! So delightful! So clever! Does absence make the heart grow fonder? Hmm. Blessings to you!

Dear Richard, I enjoyed this light and very humourous poem. I loved the analogy of the snow girl melting in his arms - very clever, and then she slipped away. Hugs Maria

Funny. It makes me laugh. There are so many silly clichés, but who doesn't use them in a poem?

I feel warm and fuzzy now because it was beautifully romantic, even for the snow girl. I enjoyed reading your poetry, Richard. I hope your evening goes well! Warm Regards, William

On the surface this poem is clever and witty. But I also found it soft and romantic and evocative. Wishing you a pleasant evening, Sara

Dear Richard, I love how you beautifully captures the fleeting nature of love and creation. The wonderful imagery of the snow girl melting in his arms reaches deeply, reflecting both the joy and sorrow of impermanence. It shows so extraordinarily well moments when I've held onto something or someone ephemeral, cherishing the warmth even as it slipped away. Thank you for this touching and evocative piece. - Blessings, Daniel
