4 Bagger 5:24

i miss the jetty
on the west side

how even the stillness
moved me

engineered to have
the perfect distance
from the pier

used to drift
out there
with wooden lust
and stay till 10
like nothin

==================

i burned the roof
of my mouth
on a microwavable burrito
last night
and it's bleeding right now
as i eat beef stir fry
in a cup

on yet
another lunch
spent
inside the truck
somewhere
in Idaho

==================

today
where pots hang
in the
sunshine sky
on
hooks
brushed over
the salt of a split
in green

the sound
of her voice
comin' @ me

bakes
phlegm
pastries

==================

tonight
i write
under the satellites
with
the itch of dry pine
and wine
in my right—

life
is a circus
full
of elephants

come back to my arms
and you'll
never be stomped
