Beyond Rote

If we crammed their heads with facts and dates,
Ignoring sparks and curious states,
Would learning ever truly take root?
Children, not clay, for us to sculpt and boot.

Tolerance, not rote, a lesson grand,
Understanding hand in accepting hand.
"Unfold" their minds, like petals in the sun,
Let wonder bloom, the learning race has begun.

Happiness, the compass, guiding true,
Engagement's flame, where knowledge breaks anew.
Education, life itself, a vibrant dance,
Not just a prep, a future's given a chance.

The teacher fades, a silent, guiding star,
The student shines, reaching ever far.
From child to man, a thread unseen,
Curiosity, the fuel, a fire keen.

"Tell, teach, involve," a learning rhyme,
Play's the key, to unlock the mind's sublime.
It is a journey, not a stop, with winding ways,
Reading's map, to unknown, wondrous days.

Doubt's a seed, that questions help to sow,
Curiosity is the path where wisdom flows.
Follow the spark, the child's inner flame,
Mistakes are the steps, in learning's sacred game.

Wonder's the wrap, a gift to hold so dear,
A teacher's touch, that echoes far and near.
Education, the weapon, strong and bright,
To change the world, and set the future right.
