The River Flows South

The river waters flow Like the blood runs through my veins Wherever they may go They carry my joys and pains And when the waters rise From a torrential rain Like the teardrops in my eyes It leaves a lasting stain And with my heart in tow Heading south to the sea Where the river waters flow The current carries me

Thank you Darlene, I have a strong connection to water. My dad was Navy, as was I, so the salt was in my veins since birth.
