THE BIG FREEZE STARTS

We brace ourselves now comes the cold as big freeze starts today. Now evil ways are taking hold beneath the shroud of grey. Birds have flown off to warmer climes. Small mammals hibernate. These groups avoid the hardest times but some months they must wait. No longer we see the bright blue and where has gone the sun? Aloft was once a joyful view, now all of it is glum. We suffer short hours of daylight and often they are grey. Now we shiver through day and night but still we hope and pray. We must adapt so we endure as comes the ice and snow. But we have a well-stocked larder, ready for worst of show.
