In The Moonlight
Quote by: Sara Etgen-Baker
The river rushes to meet the trees,
as they gather together in the moonlight
their leaves dressed in slivers turn to silver
Ocular beauty of night how precious you are
aside the colored moon, you reign o'er day
clothing us with your incandescent charm
Deliverer of magic and all that is bright
you take us for a ride by midnight hour
only to leave us breathless by your stain
Moonlight fairies swoon by your side
and even deer hold still at your sight
giving thanks for your lavish spectral light
