||Dream Quest One Poetry & Writing Contest
Introduction: Dream Quest One Poetry and Writing Contest is about showcasingthe creative writing and poetic talent, skill and ability of all poets andwriters. The Mission of Dream Quest One Poetry & Writing Contest is toinspire, motivate and encourage anyone who has the desire or love of poetry andwriting, to continue doing so without the fear of failure or success! Andremember, in whatever you do, “it’s okay to dream,” for dreams do come true.
The participants get a chance to display the beauty and art of writing shortstories and poems for the entire world to see their “gift of a dream.” WritingContest entries may be written on a maximum of (5) pages, either neatlyhandwritten or typed, single or double line spacing, on any subject or theme.Poetry Contest entries may be written on any subject or theme. All poems mustbe 30 lines or fewer and either neatly handwritten or typed, single or doubleline spacing.
Writing First Prize: $500, 2nd: $250, 3rd: $100.
Poetry First Prize: $250, 2nd:$125, 3rd: $50
Eligibility: The Dream Quest One Poetry and Writing Contest is international andopen to all poets and writers whether published or not. Current and formeremployees of Dreamquestone.Com or their relatives are not eligible. Previouslypublished poems and short stories in other contests, books, magazines, etc areaccepted and welcome as long as they are original to the contest entrant.
Rules: All poems must be 30 lines or fewer, may be either neatly handwritten ortyped, single or double line spacing, on any subject or theme. All entries mustbe original works. All short stories may be on any subject or theme. Forexample, any fiction, non-fiction, essays, diary, journal entries and shortscreenplays are accepted. Contestants will enter their short stories eitherneatly hand printed or typed, single or double line spacing, within a maximumof (5) pages or less. All entries must be original works. You may submitentries to both the poetry contest and the writing contest, at the same time.Multiple entries are accepted.
The entry fee is $5.00 (US dollars) per poem.
The entry fee is $10.00 (US dollars) per short story.
*Note: This contest is semi-annual with Winter and Summer deadlines each year.
