Should i tell her?

i have a secret that i have kept from my mum for years because i was ashamed and scared to tell her, but now i have come to realise that i need to talk about it but i dont know whether telling her my secret would be the right thing to do because she will just blame herself for what he did and the fact that she didnt notice. PLEASE HELP.
