Your poetry could be inspiring, even riveting, yet if no one reads it, you may not feel inclined to keep writing. Knowing that what you write will have at least one reader gives cause for your effort. Because you are a member of poetrysoup, you now have a reason to keep writing. People will read it.

Thanks for reminding me to keep writing without seeing feedback.

If you comment on other poets, it will bring them to your poetry, your poetry will get read, otherwise, you write and your poetry is lost in the maze of poems, lost in poetry cyber space, so comment when you can, I know it takes time, but you will see the results~~

I agree with Constance, I'm new to this site and every time a comment was posted to a poem of mine, I've gone directly to that person's list and read at least one of theirs.
