THis is an old poem telling the story of how the weeping willow tree got its name.
A young boy was playing in the tree, then fell in the river and drowned.
There was a second tree in the poem maybe a crying ash - but I can't remember the details. Unfortunately I know neither the poems title or the authors name and would really appreciate any help in identifying either or both.
