If no one ever posts on any of my poems, is that bad, or simply me being paranoid.

I do the same thing. It's mainly paranoia.

Scarlett, it's really only "bad" in that most of us want comments. Best thing to do is comment on other people's poems - some of them will read yours and comment.

You can "work the system" to an extent. Just commenting on other people's stuff will automatically get you some reads and comments, but not necessarily on a one-for-one basis. When you submit a poem, it may be good to read and comment on the poems posted around the same time - the "Poems - New (All)" link on the left side of the webpage. Doing this will generate more views for your poem, and a higher number of views will induce some people to read your poem whereas otherwise they would not. Also, the "Poets - Top Community" - these are the most active people, currently. Better-than-average change that them reading your poem will get a comment, so it's probably a fertile ground to be reading and commenting on what they write.
