The riddle is a form of poetry I came up with today. It has five lines and the first four lines must have five syllables each. The last line can have any number of syllables as long as it remains a simple sentence. I call it a riddle because in the first four lines, you desribe a feeling, idea, emotion, etcettra, and reveal what you have described in the last line. Just like a riddle. If you do your job well, people should agree with your 'reveal'. A riddle does not have a title. Examples: Unexpectedly A fire surges Courses within me I burst out a cry
I have felt pain. Do not use linking words or conjunctins to join lines. For example, i did not say: A fire surges And courses within. Another riddle: The moon hides away The dew beats the leaves The sun starts to peep The wind is watching
It is morning. Write your own riddle here and challenge your friends at home. Help improve the style edited by ATraveller on 12/8/2013 edited by ATraveller on 12/8/2013
