We did it before, DARE we do it again? PoetrySoup has a NEW Poetry Forum and you are in it. A while back we had a forum but we shut it down because of abuse. Now, it's time to try it again. Have fun and keep PoetrySoup a haven.

A while back i was a little concerned as to where Poetry Soup was going. Feedback was negative on various correspondance to various situations. Since the turn of the year there has been a wonderful climb to where the Soup should be, basically the best site on the internet. You only have to look at the increase in the Premium Memberships and the steady influx of newbies. Presently i am considering sucking up to my kids to go the whole nine yards and become a lifetime member, as they pay my membership. I can see this site going from strength to strength and i hope my writing gets stronger with it. Much applause from this Scotsman for the efforts that you, the TPS are acheiving, James.

Sometimes I am like an ostrich with her head in the sand. I missed most of the abuse and was better for it. I have enjoyed Poetry Soup and the wonderful poets in it who are so encouraging to one another. It is that encouragement and the many friendships on this site that helped me become the poet that I am today. Thank you all! And by all means...let's keep it a haven! SMILES!

In light of one's past mistakes'
Do not let that deter you as an individual to what your future may hold'
Many of the greats in our past had struggled to live noble lives'
Remember that we all fall short in life'
There is not one perfect human being alive'
Many of us put on a facade not to reveal their true inner selves'
Each of us should ask the question's: Who, What, Where, When and Why,
Hence, the quest in which to discover why we are actually here'
The notion to look into the face of adversity to meet it head on/
There is nothing that you can't accomplish in life'
Through faith then the determination in which to succeed/
It also doesn't ever hurt to get down on your knees'
For what one will do with their time now/
Will one day be evident to shine throughout all of eternity !

This is what I have been looking for as I wandered thru the site. I think it's a good idea, maybe some general suggestions--bullets-- about how to critique? Something similar to what is provided by an instructor when they hold a workshop or class?

Why is it that after I refused the invitation to become a paying member that I stop receiving any comments? That's funny I was receiving comments everyday whether or not I posted poetry. Something fishy about this.

I think the Poetry Soup is great and is growing better all the time. But my question to you Team Soup is this, you have a list of rules and regultions, yet when poets break those rules, you let them remain on the soup, to just do it again and again, I am talking about hate blogs and hate poems and comments, why are you allowing this to continue, you say Be Kind and Keep Poetrysoup a haven~~

I know that many poets use poetry for an outlet of depression or anger. Poetry is a very healing response.

Hello everyone,

I am also glad that I missed the times of abuse and negativity. Poetry Soup is the best poetry site out there in my opinion, it allows the talent to be free to express themselves and interact openly. The site is easy to navigate and informative and there are an abundance of resources for the poets... Thank you for surviving the times...

One of my poems have mysteriously disappeared (I could have deleted accidentally), is there any way it could be retrieved by Soup Admin?

i don't think it's fair for one poet to have 73 posts on the list of the 200 most recent poems posted. it prevents readers from seeing other people's work.
