What to Submit?
1 original, old or new, poem ... YOUR FAVORITE QUATRAIN
WHAT TO SUBMIT: Every person who has even lightly dabbled in poetry has written a quatrain...a four line verse. Submit a single, four-line quatrain, rhymed AABB, ABAB, ABCA, or ABBA.
RULES: No rules as to theme or subject matter. Your quatrain may be long lines or short lines, but ONLY four lines. Your favorite, as noted, but hopefully it will make sense, with rhyme and flow, and be worthy of the form. You may even pull a quatrain from a longer poem, if you wish. DO NOT put any identifying names on your poem. It is not necessary to date it, but be sure to put the name of the contest at the bottom.
REMEMBER: I am completely subjective in my selections and will be judging blind. This is a trophy contest, so give me your best...and one of the poems will be a trophy winning quatrain! If you have any questions, send me a Soup Mail, but do not provide the name, theme of your entry, or any other identifying information. THANKS!
Hey! The best 10 quatrains out of 50 submitted will be definite bragging material!!!
