A new and original poem which must be titled "True Love Waits" that should be your best. I'm asking (requiring, rather) that your poem consists of 2 english sonnets. The first in which you write about love lost, a broken heart, betrayal, or something very near those and then the second, which should flow with the first, needs to be why you're willing to forgive and wait for the culprit written about in the first sonnet.
So, something like:
Sonnet 1 - Hey, this is all messed up and I'm distraught
Sonnet 2 - But I forgive you b/c you're so amazing and I'll wait forever for you to come to your senses.
If you don't know what an english sonnet is then I encourage you to Google it. I'm a little flexible on syllable count (i.e. a line or two with 9 or 11 won't disqualify you) but would really be happy if I didn't have to make any judgment calls beyond that.
Use the following song as inspiration (though don't feel obligated to reference it, specifically, but it's the perfect embodiment of what I'm searching for as far "feeling" goes - sadly this is the best version I can find I know all can access):

There's plenty of time and plenty of slots open. Please take your time. Looking forward to shedding a few tears.
I'll likely write one myself at some point but haven't yet. It's something I've wanted to do for awhile but haven't quite found the inner-strength to sit down and do. So, I'll ask you to do it instead :)
