What to Submit?
1 new original poem on the theme of a Tall Tale (fictional, humorous) in Tail-rhyme form, with 4 or more stanzas.
Have some good, clean fun with this one! Tell a tall tale that moves from stanza to stanza, and use tail-rhyme where the tail DOES NOT RHYME with the other lines in the stanza, but DOES RHYME with tails from other stanzas.
Look at my "Son of Amittai" for an example of an aad bbd ccd eeh ffh ggh tail-rhyme scheme, or "Journey to Here" for an aaaaf bbbbf ccccf ddddf eeeef tail-rhyme. Minimum stanza length is 3 lines, including the tail.
Check out "Toyland Battles" for an ababc dedec tail-rhymed tall tale!
I'm looking for a tall tale told as multiple stanzas, exaggerated, ridiculous, humorous all good. I do like good meter, good rhyme, and the tail can be the same length as the other lines, or it can be shorter, but ought to be consistent.
I always seem to have questions for other contests, so feel free to soup-mail me if this isn't clear, and I'll update everyone if I feel a clarification would be useful to all.
