Contest Description
What to Submit?
1. One Ottava Rima, 8-16 lines about something that occurs during a Summer rain storm or about the rain storm itself. It may be happy, sad, serious, whimsical...
2. Your poem must be titled, SUMMER RAIN, so I will know not to read it in advance. Please put your preferred title in the body of the work. You may change it once the contest is over.
3. To keep poems as uniform as possible your rhyme must be abababcc, with ten syllables per line.
4. Have fun. I love reading poetry and can't wait to see what you submit!

Submit one copy of your poem online. Format your poem. Please make your entry easy to read — no illustrations or fancy fonts.
English Language
Poems should be in English. Poems translated from other languages are not eligible, unless you wrote both the original poem and the translation.
