Contest Description
What to Submit?
1 original, OLD, RHYMING poem that you submitted in any prior contest and received an N/A.
We all have that poem. The one (or ones) that we spent a fair amount of time on and absolutely loved. We submitted it into a contest and nervously awaited to see if it was a winner. And then... N/A.
Well, this is your chance to resurrect that poem back from the ashes of obscurity into the glorious throes of adulation it deserves.
In reality, there can only be 10 winners so please read the RULES section AND the How I determine rankings section so your diamond has the best chance of being discovered from the rough.
Rules
- Poem MUST rhyme (no Free Verse, Haiku, etc)
- As with all contests, names are not permitted and will result in DQ.
- Poem must have been submitted in an older contest (that already was judged) and received an N/A. I truly have no way of checking this so I am taking submissions on your honor.
Rankings will be based on
- How well the poem reads
- Meter / Flow
- Spelling and Grammar
- Rhyming (fresh and unforced)
- Creativity (surprise me with your topic or approach)
- My subjective opinion (this is implied with all contests, I make rules to be as objective as possible)
Prizes
First Prize, Greatest Glory
Second Prize, Penultimate Glory
Third Prize, Still Quite Glorious
Seven Additional Placements of only slightly diminished glory
