What to Submit?
We all make New Year's resolutions we don't or can't keep! Let's put a smile on our faces and come up with unrealistic or nonsensical resolutions for 2017.
I would like for you to try writing "subconsciously". Don't worry about the reader, the critic, or even what you think. Just write! Of course, you can go back and tweak your poem a little bit.
One quick site that I found that discusses this subject:
writersrelief.com/blog/2009/un-think-your-poetry-how-to-write-better-poems/
Please write in free verse or if you are in the habit of "subconsciously " pumping out rhyme that is okay.
Don't fear poet! The best resolution kept is to be more courageous in 2017!
TITLE - NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS / Use your own subtitle/date at bottom only with no names
I have included one "humble" poem! Yours will be much better! You can also check out my poem, "Looking For Home".
Have fun! Have fun! Have fun!
2016 stunk so i thunk
no more wasting time
i pull out my watch
and follow the reason
and rhyme to the top
of this pile of earth
dragging my 3 bedroom
home, besides. i laugh
to myself thinking
i look kinda like santa
or even an elf with
this sack on my back.
i resolute to cruise
365 days around
the moon, delighting
in stars and space,
writing poems,
as much as i please.
