Contest Description

What to Submit?

1 original, poem on the theme of Lost love

Sonnet form only is acceptable.  Must be an English sonnet 10 syllables per line

Rhyme scheme ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

Must use these words somewhere in the poem, no specific order.

1. Furtive 2. Nonchalant 3. Humble 4. Shallow 5. Ascetic

My criteria for scoring each worth 10 points 1. Structure(rhyme, syllable count)  2. Flow 3. Emotive (must make me feel something) 4. Vocabulary Unique word pairings or words seldom used in poetry. Potential 40 points perfect score acheived only once before in my 2 and a half years here. Write me a beauty! Enjoy!!
