Contest Description
What to Submit?
1 original poem of any theme you choose. Diminished Hexaverse poems ONLY. A poem containing stanzas of 5 lines, then 4 lines, then 3 lines, then 2 lines, ending with one word. The syllables in each stanza correspond to the number of lines, i.e. 5 in each line in the first stanza, 4 in the second stanza and so on. Although this form can contain more thanfive stanzas, I would prefer you only use 5. Also, make sure your title is the same as the last word in your poem. I am new to this form as well but I tried one myself, if you like you can view my example on my poetry list. Good Luck everyone, can't wait to read all your wonderful poems.
MY example poem is titled "Child"
Notes: New poems ONLY.
Please title your poem with a DH at the end of your title ( Child-DH ) so that I don't accidentally read it.
