Kindness is the quality or state of taking an active interest in the welfare of others; friendly and helpful acts or favors.
Dear Soupers, we want to let you know about a serious issue that has recently come to light in our beloved poetry community. It appears that there has been an infiltrator among us, using deceptive means to exploit our members. This individual has been utilizing various accounts, names, and IP addresses to access PoetrySoup, aiming to gather personal information and direct users to dubious websites. They also feign interest in poems to appear as legitimate members.
You mustn't share personal information, such as your full name, address, phone number, or email address, with anyone unless you have a strong personal connection with them. This applies especially to any requests that seem unusual or out of the ordinary.
If someone approaches you with messages that direct you away from PoetrySoup to another website, that should raise immediate red flags. Those with malicious intent often employ these tactics, and it’s important to trust your instincts in these situations.
3. Report Suspicious Activity:
If you encounter any individuals or messages that seem suspicious, please report them immediately to the PoetrySoup administration team. Your vigilance and prompt action can help protect not only your own information but also that of your fellow Soupers.
Regularly check for any measures PoetrySoup may be implementing to protect our community. Engage with fellow poets and share your experiences if you have encountered any suspicious activities; knowledge sharing is a powerful tool against these infiltrators.
As a community built on creativity and connection, it is essential that we also prioritize our safety and well-being. We appreciate your attention to this matter and your cooperation in maintaining the integrity of our PoetrySoup family.
Stay safe, stay connected, and keep writing.
Warm regards,
Team PoetrySoup
