Just...hello and other stuff.

Hey everyone!! I would just like to say that first and foremost, this is a poetry site, not a political site and not a place to wage war on one another. Writing is an expression of the soul, a very personal one, therefore shouldn't we have a place where we feel comfortable expressing that? I will not mention any certain names, yall know who you are, but when a debate becomes a personal attack, filled with sarcasm and cruel, demeaning comments, it is no longer a debate, but abusive. I will NOT, and I have said this before, post my work in a place where this goes on. So Stop It. I'm not willing to leave so easy this time either.


We need to get back to our lives, back to our appreciation for eachother. That's all.

Thank you sweetie for saying what I tried to convey in a blog written in the form of a poem. Johnette wrote a poem some time ago "Where Hate Can't Come Ashore' and this is what this sight represents to me. Thats a great suggestion, JeanMarie. One final comment from me: I think the most sarcastic, demeaning thing I've heard in the last 3 years was "Mission Accomplished." Thanks for being here and I do sincerely hope you stay at PoetrySoup. Its a great forum for poetry and whatever other writing folks like to do!!

Charles, I was not referring to you :) Rhoda...:) And Anthony, NONE of us can step in crap and still smell like a rose. You had better stay as well. I'm guilty too, can't throw a hormonal woman in this without her setting a fire, right? :)Thanks guys!!!

Guilty as charged...and well spoken. Sometimes things get a little out of hand when issues strike on something that people are passionate about. For me it wasn't about politics...but either way, lets get back to the poetry. Thanks JM. Love Ya
