A deleted poem - Lewis Raynes's Blog

About Lewis Raynes

Hi, thoughtful poetry and confronting art..... and mathematics, are my interest. Have been writing, poetrying and painting for about 20 years and mathematicing for about 25. Of course we all have thoughts about random stuff often enough, I like putting those random thoughts into verse making sense or putting them on canvas to be a provoker. I prefer all styles of poetry depending upon my mood.

By the way, unless i state that a poem actually occurred to me, then they are all made up, fiction, whimsical, not true events, they are not biographies and only touch on uncomfortable topics to make the reader question things. I believe poetry has the ability to make us question our own morals intimately, like how the bard made us question suicide in Romeo and Juliet.

p.s. the bard didn't do suicide.

Hang on? So let me get this right. A poem that is fictitious, has no names, no swearing, no nudity, no explicit details, voted first in a contest for desperate housewife... Is removed for no apparent reason. It violated none of the rules for this site. Lol. I mistook this site for freedom to exercise our poetic muscle... My mistake. This is not a "real" poetry site with real emotions.. What other things r forbidden on a whim in this dictatorship? Probs me after this rant.... Urs honestly, Lewis.

Thanks Soupers. I'm not going to ask for the admin reason, I make my own rules for what and how I write and refuse to be effected by that persons bend on morals. I'm just disappointed the admin person is not as mentally liberated as they need to be. I'm going to continue to write about sensitive topics because that's one of the poets charges. Cheers poets. :)

In the past I had TPS approve two other poems I have up, I wasn't sure if they would approve. I learned my lesson after they removed two of my poems... Lewis, sorry that happen to you...Linda

Lewis, it's upsetting... I found your poem to be the best, the average naughty poem. Nothing different from what's on here already. Someone must have it in for you. Years back, Administration removed my poem Midnight secret... I was angry. They should have brought it to my attention, I wasn't breaking any rules. The problem was someone was super jealous over the hot steamy comments. Complained ... After revising my poem with the help of Cindi M. I sent my poem to TPS, they approved my poem, (gave me the ok) I put my poem back up, after giving it a wonderful facelift. In which you happened to love in your sexy contest. I have a better poem now, thanks to the trolley taller troll. ;)

That's really bad lewis I never got to even read the poem but congrats - PD must have loved it to give you top spot. I can't understand why the poem was deleted - why not mail soup and ask them? Hugs Jan xx

Sorry about that, Lewis. I remember a really nice elderly gentleman who put up a poem similar to the owl and the pussycat and got that one deleted. I know the guy and he was NOT trying to get by with something dirty!!

If you email the admin, they may tell you the reason, or they may not, ... Ya just got to get your words out .... I had 2 deleted for suspected profanity, yet can get away with swearing.....it's the " is this art" argument....
