My Soup Return/Update

First thank you to Vince, Carol, and everyone else who emailed me over the summer concerned about my daughter Melody who had heart surgery, they were heartwarming, inspiring, and helped give me the strength to keep going when I felt I could not. After a very successful surgery, and a bit of a bump(infection), she is on the road to full recovery. She has been cleared to return to school full time and is herself again. She was far stronger than I was as she headed into the Operating Room...I must say. The strength of children always amazes me. Her therapy has been going beter than we could have hoped...and so far her heart is stronger, and seems to be healing as it should. Now that things are going back to normal I hope to return to posting on the Soup full time again and regaining some of my lost popularity (ha ha ha...just kidding). I'm happy that I can again associate with the many talents I have for the last four years and discover new ones along the way. So...CAROL, MICHAEL, VINCE, JOHN, ERNESTO, ELAINE, CHRIS, SUE...and everyone else...Thank You from the bottom of my heart for your emails & prayers...I will cherish the caring and compassion you have shown me forever. I love you guys! NOW...on with the poetry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your daughter has courage and strength like her daddy and will fight like a nifty lion charlie so glad she is on the road to recovery may you and family always be blessed thanks for update too hugs to you and family charlie

Wow! I am so happy for you, your daughter, and the rest of your family. Stories like this make this nurse rejoice that our medical system does offer a new life for so many. Thank you for sharing this. Blessings to you. Karen

Charles I guess I'm getting soft in my old age because that just brought tears to my eyes - What wonderful news!!! I reckon the Lord heard all of our prayers on this one, thank God - I'm so glad to hear this news Charles you have truly made my year - I guess this is about as good a feeling as life has to offer - BTW Charles I've started back to College going for a Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science specializing in Drug & Alcohol Addiction - You have a very beautiful family and once again I'm so overjoyed to hear this news - God Bless, MJ

Charles I did not realize all that was happening in your life. I am so glad your daughter is on her way to a full recovery. I am also glad to see you are back. I have not had time this summer to be on line and I seem to be missing a lot of the news. Will have to get one more. God Bless Phyl

Charlie my dear friend, I am so wonderfully overjoyed to hear that Melody is in great health once again. Our prayers have been answered. It is fantastic to know you are going to be back here writing your poetry again. Welcome back Charlie. You are in for a surprize when you see how many new amazing poets we have here at the Soup. Don't get me wrong the oldies are still amazing or even more so then when you left. You are going to love them and their poetry. I know they are going to love you and your poetry.
