Dear Soupers,
I have a few questions for any of you who are published or self-published. I have made my own little chapbook. Nothing fancy, just cardstock cover and sewn together with waxed irish linen cord. Would that be acceptable to sell here at PS? I know chapbooks don't really need ISBN#'s, but would it be a good idea. I doubt that I will ever sell alot--I have no visions of being famous. Although I'd like to put it out in as many places as I can. I'm just not sure because it is not professionally done. Any advice would be appreciated.

Tanya, I had eight published at Shadowpoetry.com and they were very nicely done. The bookstore there was lovely, and yet the owner of the website told me that a poet was lucky if two copies a year of their book got sold. Only if you had friends going there to buy them, which I had a few of, would you even sell any at all. That's the reality of it. I ended up doing lots of book exchanges with folks and a few wonderful people here bought a few of my books before the site closed down. If you care to do an exchange, let me know. I still have extras at my house that I can exchange with other poets. Luv, Andrea

Thanks. I figure I'll just put them around my little town (about 1,000 pop.) and see how that goes. We have a little 'museum' that has a section for local authors. I'll put a few there.
