My "Stand As 1" poetry radio show returns: Sunday, 9/15/2013 @ 8am PST w/special guest, Betzy Hughes! - Poet Tacito's Blog

Hey gang!

I hope you're all being awesome as you want to be!

So, after some careful consideration, I've decided to move my "Stand As 1" poetry radio show from Tuesday evenings to Sunday mornings at 8am PST / 11am EST / 4pm London Time!

I'm doing this so I can give the international poets here on PS an opportunity to call in at a, hopefully, more convenient time. Or, at the very least, listen to the show LIVE!

With that said, on Sunday, September 15th @ 8am PST, my special guest for the next "Stand As 1" poetry radio show will be a great friend of mine, Betzy Hughes, from the Southeastern USA city of Atlanta, Georgia! She's both a fierce poet of over 7 years AND a singer! You will do yourself a disservice if you miss out on this! 

She's been a guest of my show 3 previous times and I'm excited to have her return again since her last guest appearance almost 3 years ago!

Meanwhile, I hope you'll all be able to join me for the fun! I invite all to call in and read a poem & talk to us so you all can be heard. Details are below!

To listen to the show you have a few options:

Web: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/standas1 (There is a chat room where you can talk with myself and others in the chat, but you'll have to register on the site to do so. Otherwise, you'll just appear as "Guest12345" in the chat room with no ability to communicate with others).

Phone: (646) 716-4762 (You can hear the show live over the phone. If you want to actually read a poem on the air, then please be sure to press "1" and the voice prompt will confirm that you're in my Host queue to read a poem.)

Please keep in mind that all callers that want to read on my show are selected in the order they call in and who presses "1" to be placed in my queue.

Eileen Manassian Date: 9/9/2013 9:52:00 PM I sincerely hope I can make it this time, Drake. Depends on where I will be this Sunday. I may be traveling and if I'm staying with relatives, I surely don't want to rake up the phone bill. Having said that, I'm SUPER excited about this show...and SO want to be there!!! I've wanted to for some time now...Even considering what I might read on the show....Something controversial or gushy and slow! Oh well, we will see. DJ... i would love to listen to this show; it has become a global village with so many soupers sharing a singular moment the last time ( from different countries, wow).. any ideas re use of skype to tune in, or maybe even call in for a real short while?... just a thought!:) ... you are doing so much for us, thank you..hugggs Login to Reply Poet Tacito Date: 9/9/2013 1:58:00 PM Darling Nette! :) Well, Skype or even Google Voice are the best options for calling using the net at a very, very cheap (maybe free, if you're lucky??) price. Otherwise, just listen in from the internet. I'm doing what I can here for us all! =)

She's a hell of a poet. She hasn't been on a show in a few years, so it's a big deal for me to have her back again on this show. :) I hope as many PS poets as possible call in.
