i had a fellowship night with my counselor-friends and we somehow dealt with how  men and  women react differently to  emotional interchanges…

we  agreed that men’s brains have specific compartments where logic, analysis and reasoning are well placed.. as for the women, it is a open-floor area where everything seems to be relational, somewhat emotional and free-flowing…

with this in mind, we asked each other what guys don’t want to hear from the gals and vice-versa... the no.1 query which placed the males on the spot was: “ we need to talk, can we do it now?” (especially if  their men missed out on something important like a date or forgot to explain why they were late one night)… another male colleague said he squirmed when his girlfriend of 3 years  buzzed, “ where is this relationship heading?”.. (oops!)… this next  one really got us: a married man hated being questioned,” do you really know the direction to Tom’s party place? ( ouch, men told us they want to be in control)...

on the other side, the women squeaked when dates asked them on their first night-outs this Q: “ how old are you?”...oh well!... one female manager was curious about why men say,” my mother cooks her pasta this way…” and a middle-aged wifey  went  ballistic when his husband wondered,   “ really, it’s our anniversary tomorrow?”… include this remark by an engaged man to his future bride:" you spent $400 for that bag?"... yayy!

of course we love our guys ( brothers, hubbies, others) and our women.. anything that ticks you when those mouths slip?...

My Hubby has such a fix it brain... But I have to remind him it's time to fix it... go figure... I have 3 vacuum sweepers from the year 1960 still working because it's better fixed than new, he keeps telling me. And He's fixed the used washer we bought 35 years ago 4 times... I finally put my foot down this time and got a new one... My brother has a truck that has had 3 engines replaced( at least 600,000 miles) and he's still fixing it, too.

I guess I'm an odd male because we both work full time jobs but since I onky work four days a week I do the dishes, cooking, laundry, cooking and yard work. She's a school teacher and i can't see her coming home to do those things.

My wife hates the fact I won't go into Home Depot with her. She spends hours in there going through each piece of wood till she gets the perfect pieces. With a wife, three daughters and one granddaughter I avoid malls like the plague. How come us guys know what we want go in get that item and come right out?As far as love making, I tell her I'm married to a sexy woman of course I'm going to want it all the time. I thank God every day I am not a women.

Nette, great blog!!! Where is the multitasking organ that goes in the frontal lobe of women?..You know the one that allows women to think about SHOES AND SEX Simultaneously???
