What I Get Paid To Do - Joe Flach's Blog

When I am not writing poems, short stories and other things, for fun and my own therapeutic benefits, I am, amongst other things, writing reports, articles and blogs in the field I am paid to focus on. I specialize in the fields of corporate emergency preparedness, crisis management, disaster recovery and business continuity. Events like the recent Boston Marathon tragedy and their impacts on business and commerce draw my attention and demand my focus.

Although I do not post to my business blog as often as I post here (work vs. hobby) I do, every now and then, try to apply my writing skills to my profession. A lot of what I get paid to do results in me writing rather voluminous findings reports and analyses. Should you ever read one of them, you may better understand why I use poetry as an outlet for my other me.

I admire you for what you do, I think there needs to be more awareness regarding this-- not just for companies, but for families as well. Thank you for sharing your article, and you are so right with what you say about the lessons learned, of what is one of the most important lessons-- at the end of the day, I guess it still boils down to love... also reminds me of how one of the most talked about tragedies in my country last year, the death of one of the cabinet member's in a plane crash-he was a beloved man and what stood out for most, was he never failed to say his I love you's to his family Login to Reply Kabuteng P.Ink K.
