Born in Skipton raised in the village of addingham in wharfedale, moved to New Zealand for 36 years, now a resident of Perth Western Australia, i have 2 sons 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren..Sons were born in the uk, 2 grandchildren in New Zealand, 1 grandchild and 4 great grandchildren are true blue aussies.

Hi, just to inform everyone that Mandy is in hospital for major surgery, on Friday.
Mandy who has endured a good part of her life on crutches, having as a child been inoculated against polio, the uk having run out imported a batch from overseas, that was contaminated, which although not instant reversed the effect, once a teen resulted in the start of her ordeals, of many admittance to hospital and to date over 30 times..for various operations.....
This lady whose blogs have brought so much joy to all us that have read them on soup,,with her wonderful sense of humour, whose poetry many with a wonderful twist at the end, is aptly named golden girl,,,,
So please think and pray for her on Friday, for a speedy recovery... and that she will return to lighten up our days very soon again....
