Most on here know my story.. After shoulder surgery in 2010 I came across 8 pieces of paper that I considered lyrics. With the advice of my brother I searched for a poetry site to join and see if my words meant anything to anyone else's eyes..

After meeting such wonderful poets that became friends I attempted to write my first book "A Walk Through Time" which was followed up by my 2nd "A Road Still Driven"..

Poetry Soup has open doors for that I never new existed. I am now collaborating with an Artist combining my words with his art.. I have also been working on a 3rd book as we speak..

Well as I been reflecting on this journey I thought it only fitting to retrace my steps to where it started

Thank you Poetry Soup and all who grace the pages of the site. If not for you those eight pieces of paper would have been thrown back in the box...

2 books! That's sooo cool. Glad we met you. We all belong somewhere... It's good to know we're not alone... I haven't the courage yet to write a book! I lost my job after 30 years and got on disability... I stay rather alone except for my hubby, adopted 21 year old son, and animals. My other son flies in and out of my life occassionally while in college... You guys have given me company... And Jack Ellison, like me, writes the HaHa- silly side of poetry... Poetrysoup is always the first place I go to in the morning. It's good to know there's always room for one more...

I think many of us have similar stories of how far we have come. It's so amazing, isn't it? I see you had your shoulder surgery not long before I had mine. Mine even feels bad today. The only thing difference is that I can now move my left arm up and down, thank heavens!
