Gone, Never Forgotten

On December 31, 2013 I lost my mentor and one of my closest friends, Linda Marie Bariana.

Rest In Peace my friend!!!

It is amazing how despite the enormous gap in age we found each other, actually more like she found me! I don't know what she saw in me but my poetry stood out and I am thankful for Poetry Soup. Because if not for this site Linda and I would have never met. Although I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember I was unrefined, raw, good but needed guidance. Along came my muse, my best friend. We would talk on the phone for hours and have late night poetry jam sessions, she let me pick her brain. She has done so much to guide me, mentor me, opening my eyes to the world of strict forms and syllable counts. I could go on for hours and write a novel about "Sweetheart" because she did that much, not just for me but everyone she met!

I like to think of myself nowadays as a product of LMB Productions!!

no one like linda- marie, jarred... she was one of the few who greeted me on soup till we became good friends.. she remains in my heart!.. huggs

Hi Jared..Linda Maria was ,is and always will be ..a close true friend.Tnks for sharing this blog.I accidentaly pressed something and the tribute I ve written for her got deleted.I tried to remember what I ve written and repost in the coming wk hopefully.

Linda-Marie, will never be forgotten. Jared, Linda had a special something no one else did on this site. The way she took me and others under her wing. One thing I love and adored about her, was how she took us the little birds and thought us how to fly. RIP Linda, From: One BFF to another. SKAT
