A New Poetry Soup Poet

Am I A Mum.

You are not a Mother, your children aren’t with you,

this I thought so very cruel, left me feeling blue

Out of Loves, loving deed

from his loins a precious seed.

My womb did swell and I felt you kick

my darling children, your names we did pick,

I thought of you with weeping eyes

GOD took your tiny hands and closed your eyes.

Tears in my eyes, a trembling voice, to GOD I prayed today

GOD what makes a Mother? Then I heard HIM say,

Women have babies, Mothers they are I know its true.

But can we be mothers, when our babies are with YOU?

Yes you can be a Mother, HE said in a strong Voice

I give MY Gift to many, when they leave its not their choice.

Some babies for a life, Some just a day

Some just to feel your womb, as there is no need to stay.

I don't understand GOD! I want my children here

they did not breath nor cry, their eyes sealed by a tear.

I would love to show you what they do today,

if you could see them smile and hear what they say.

We went to Earth to learn our lessons of love , life and fear,

but you mum, loved us so, we got to come straight here.

We learnt our lessons and you set us free'

Mum we are so Blessed that you so loved us five.

We so miss you mum, in your heart we visit each day

when you sleep beside you and dad we lay.

We curl you hair with our fingers and hold on to Dads ears.

Whispering to you, don't be sad, We are your Babies, we are here.

My dear sweet child, your children are ok,

your children are in My Home, safe and secure they stay.

In the passing of time, you will be together again too

for your babies at Heaven's gate, wait for you.

You see, what makes a Mother, is the feelings in your heart

this great love you have , right from the very start.

Though some may not recognise you as a mother, until their time is done

They will be up with ME one day, then you will know, you're the best one.

So beautiful and touching a tale you tell. So many mothers suffer in silence. Sad we don't celebrate the lost lives of these beautiful angels that share such little time. Perfect.
