Thanks to recent contests and blogs bringing my attention to YouTube poems, I have become obsessed with putting some of my poems in this format. The key word there is, "obsessed".
Over the past few days I have completed about 1 project a day in creating video poems. I should burn myself out here shortly.
The first three were pretty easy to knock out - one each for the births of my grandchildren:
- Summer's Arrival
- My Son Holding His Son
- Estella and Holden
These, of course, are getting views from family members. My daughter shared the "Estella and Holden" link on a facebook page for parents of twins, which helped it get a few more views.
Then it became a little bit harder to find poems that I felt would fit that format.
I am particularly pleased with how the poem I wrote in memory of the Sandy Hook tragedy in Newtown, CT turned out - "Last Goodbyes". It is slowly getting some views each day.
I even put my "Write me a pub drinking song" contest entry, "I Don't Have a Drinking Problem" in this format with a horrible rendition of the song. If you were to listen you would probably conclude that the song and singing of it is purely ironic (and moronic).
Any way, if you have any curiosity to see how another poet here has tried to put their poems to video you can find all of my poems on my channel at:

You can just click on any that strike your fancy.
So, I thank and yet curse those of you who put me on to this. Just what I needed, another damn obsession.
