May 13th

I still remember that day,
That cold day in May.
I remember how you said we were through,
How could I have been without a clue.

I remember how you said you'd love me forever,
And that our feelings for each other would never sever.
I still remember the first time we kissed,
God how could things of ended like this.

I remember the nights I cried all night,
Thinking that this could not be right.
I still remember the day I wanted to die,
Wondering why I chose this guy.

I remember how I thought I'd never smile
Moments away from denial.
I still remember the day you finally called,
And how you sat there and just bawled.

I remember how you said we could never be,
The way that I wanted to be.
I still remember our last words,
And how they were such a blur.

Do you remember that look in my eye,
That look that I had when we said our last goodbye.
Fore if you did then you would of seen,
That that look was not what it had seemed.

That look in my eye was nothing more then my heart breaking,
And for you making promises that weren't worth making.
You made me promises that you couldn't keep,
All your words seemed to cut so deep.

I still remember that day,
That cold day in May.
The day when everything was put on delay,
And we went our separate way.
