Knowledge

I look up at the sky
and see the white flakes fall
dusting the ground
where the white wolf calls
her cry is soon anwered
and then echoed by them all
as they look up at the sky
and see the white flakes fall

I look up at the sky
and see the white flakes fall
and listen to her mourn
for the loss of someone small
because she had given birth
this same night in her den’s hall
but his life did slip away
as the white flakes start to fall

I look up at the sky
and see the white flakes fall
I want to join her song
and help her to stand tall
I raise my voice and sing
rising high above them all
and add my strength to theirs
as the white flakes still did fall

I look up at the sky
and see the white flakes fall
learning that same night
which I have never known at all
a wolf does not exist
without an answer to its call
so I look up at the sky
and see the white flakes fall
