Mariel Spencer Poem
It hits her like a hurricane, while she sleeps peacefully in his arms,
in her heart the sound of rain, her senses put on alarm.
A fairy tale she dreams about, but he's no prince charming,
she tried to get her heart on a different route, but found without him dreadfully harming.
She walks a misty road, ever winding in her mind,
what others might call a toad, she sees the beauty in making her blind.
She knows he has feelings for her, but her prince refuses to give in,
she could have any other, but her heart stays with him.
Strength as strong as a lion, as she fights to stand by his side,
a warrior of amazons, which you could call her heart and mind.
Listening to others, as they tell her she wastes time,
but in her heart she truly knows, "with time he'll be mine."
She's the princess of hearts, yet she isn't enough for him,
he thinks he's so tough, but begs her to stick by him.
Isn't satisfied with just her alone, tells her he likes her but there just friends,
but when she's not with him, he's the one truly alone.
Her love is stronger then fire and ice, a girl who to others is always nice,
has the heart of so many people, but she is falling like an unlucky pair of dice.
Her sad fairy tale she chooses to ignore, hoping that he'll finally open that door,
The princess of many faces, with a heart that would take him many places.

Mariel Spencer Poem
Her love is like a raging fire, leaving it’s mark but it must frighten him,
Because he has her wrapped with wire, but constantly leaving her to sink with in.
She needs him now holding onto every moment, but he keeps letting it pass by him
It’s so clear to her he’s the one, but love frightens him.
He must feel it to, cause her fire reflects in his eyes,
She’s left a mark, but he doesn’t understand the beauty he feels for her inside.
He can’t understand the happiness, it is just so beautiful,
Her love stays strong and solid, though he pushes her away.
He was hurt so badly, when I think of it I get so mad,
Never once have I led him a stray, and yet I’m there day after day,
He just doesn’t see, that my love is as sweet as honey from a bee,
I’m not the one who hurt him, so I try to tell myself he’s the one losing not me.
I want you to finally see, that's me, the girl standing in front of you today,
the one who you can scream and lose control with, the one whose seen you on your worst
behavior and worst days, the one who knows your nasty habits, and can still think you’re
the cutest cuter then rabbits.
The girl who you always confide in, that girl who sees you through hard times,
the girl who sticks with you through thick and thin, and if your sinking jumps in to help
you swim, doesn’t care if it means her drowning too, as long as she’s beside you.
Open your eyes, stop just looking, and actually see,
She’s me, that’s me, I’m her…

Mariel Spencer Poem
Someone's Temporary
Around the room she moves, wondering how much more of her heart she’ll lose.
Can’t get him out of her mind, everyone tells her she’s wasting her time.
She calls him at night, just to make sure he’s alright.
That’s why she’s the kind of girl, who deserves more than to be his temporary.
He says he loves her then throws in she’s just a friend, then kisses her confusing her again.
He asks her to never leave, and she tells him she won’t,
If only he’d knew he’d mislead, and if only she could tell him nope.
To him she gives her life away, she gives her time to him every day.
If only he’d stop being stuck in his ways, and realize how he is truly amazed.
One day he’ll come to find, he pushed her devotion aside.
He’ll regret letting her slip away, and realize how much she was there for him day after day.
She tries so hard day and night, constantly slaves to make things right.
The bringer of good things, and a woman of incredible things.
Always trying to make others happy, but too afraid to stand up for what she wants,
Afraid of rejection, and losing it all.
She gave him all of her and asked for nothing in return, that's why she deserves to be
more then to be someone’s temporary.
