That Day

October 15 2013 
Is a day
One that I would never forget
It’s the day that I allowed you to mentally break me
Both inside and out
It was the day that I realized that
Everyone has dark sides 
It’s the day that I also realized that
I’m not as strong as I thought I was
From that day I taught myself
To never trust anyone 
Because not everyone 
Is who they turn out to be
So from that day
I never let anyone in
In fear that i might be left vulnerable yet again
