Seven Ten

I fell out of alignment and was looking back again. Illusion spoke with pain and said: "The good old days are dead. The spark has surely faded now, and all you have is dread." So I opened the Holy Bible and read - Ecclesiestes 7:10...

To my lower Self

Come back to the refuge; Lets take a trip inside. No shadow can see you here, the perfect place to hide. Come back to the refuge, the largest space of all. Theres room for all your hopes and dreams, so you can bring them all. Come back to the refuge, there's power you can find; Silence is the kingdom, lost somewhere behind your mind. Come back to the refuge, the great ones wait for you; Through white light to fields of green, and skies the bluest blue; Come back to the refuge, I know its been a while, but time's a lie, so please dont sigh - just come back with a smile! Come back to the refuge, do you still know the way? Let go of thinking without any effort, and sit like that today. Come back to the refuge, put down those heavy bags! The present is a gift, it doesnt matter how its wrapped. Come back to the refuge, the journey is alone; But once your near, youl feel me here; Because the refuge is my home... Signed - HIGHER SELF.

Dark Night Of The Soul

An old feeling came back yesterday; It was triggered by a dream. It took him back to how he felt when he was just thirteen.

A claustrophobic darkness, with no air inside the room. Two days almost passed, he knows it wont last - but this feelings a tough one to move.

The first time it came unexpected, a bereavement invited it in. He couldnt explain how it felt to anyone, so decided to keep it all in.

He drowned it with cans of pure butane; Ignorning the words on the back. It said Solvent abuse can kill instantly! - But him - he had no cares for that.

He hushed it with Crime, Risk and Passion; and shiny things, Silver and Gold. He choked it with weed and grew all kinds of seeds, and met people he should not have known.

He lived a life full of extremes, and probably learned more than he should. He said there's a battle between right and wrong, and hes been called onto the side of good.

He said the battle was with demons, and they also sent out a call; it came in the form of a feeling, and was called - 'A Dark Night Of The Soul'.

(It will pass.)

From A'far

As i listen to the thoughts rise up, I see they're not my own; They're not my kind of company, the lowest type of tone. I'd rather not speak back to them, or follow where they roam; I'll watch them from a'far instead - behind the safety zone.

Still A Novice

I missed the target; So I took another arrow, pulled back the bow with all my strength, and aimed it at the centre. Thoughts of vengance blew it off course; I missed the target; So I took another arrow, pulled back the bow with all my strength, and aimed it at the centre. It would have struck true, if not for addiction. I missed the target; Feeling unworthy but determined, I took another arrow, pulled back the bow with all my strength, and aimed it at the centre. This time I hit the target; By counting the arrows which lie on the ground, and the ones which hit the target, I saw my true level of progress; I saw I was still a novice.

Just Perceptions

"They are just perceptions. They don't have to be true for you. You can operate from outside of them, because you know the truth: You are separate from them - and If you no longer merge with false beliefs and old shadows, then old shadows and false beliefs can no longer merge with you, and when you are finally free, you will you see - they are just perceptions." {Said the mystic to the listener.}

Trail Of Breadcrumbs

A trail of breadcrumbs is my return. Repentance is my reason. Love is my cure.

Undercover Agents

Temptations are gods Undercover Agents. Cleverly disguised.. Each one strategically placed to test our current level of progress, and use of divine will power.

You Are That

All things come and go on their own accord, threatening with their highs and their lows, except you; Awareness is the only constant, you are that.

Following the blind is dangerous if you cannot see, and darkness conceals many snakes. But you see clearly; Awareness is the only constant, you are that.

If evil acts through you, it will harm you on its way through. If kindness acts through you, it will leave divine residue; Try and be kind. Awareness is the only constant, you are that.

A small vessel with no leaks is safer than a hundred ships on the ocean floor. Repair your leaks! Awareness is the only constant, you are that.

You think part of you is lost in the past. But the only part of you thats trapped there is the part that keeps looking back! Stay present. Awareness is the only constant. You are that.

Whoever accepts your charity allows you to drink from the Holy Grail. Treat them how you would treat God; Even the 'down and outs'. Awareness is the only constant. You are that.

Not got the time? If you have right now, then you have all the time you need. Now is the only time life can happen; Awareness is the only constant; You are that.

Accept the unexpected; Marinate in all fear and dread. Sit in the centre of adrenaline as it courses through your body like raging fires. Embrace fear like a friend who is leaving soon; and remember - Awareness is the only constant; You are that...
