Don'T Tread On My Dreams

"Tread Softly because you tread on my dreams" (William Butler Yeats)

Allow me to shout in ancient ruins
Light up the abracadabra of existence
Let the pyramids heed my silent words
And unravel the tales of time

To uncover the hidden myth
How the lizards dance to the sacred drums
I want to create a call
Off ancestors not man

Allow me to summon my dreams
To call our ancient myths
And how the endless treading calls for vacuum
Not of ancestors but man

How the drummer mask up his sorrows
And the crowd moves to its tunes
Whether sorrow or happiness
The rythmn lies in the man and not the stick not drums.

Violence

Voracious beasts I freely call them,
Indigenous or rather covenant leaders,
Observing our steps just to stab us behind,
Leaving us to suffer in peace,
Envying the poor man's meal,
Nuisances we turn before their eyes,
Certainly we made ourselves such
Educated fools!

The Boy Who Cried German

*The Boy Who cried German*

Although Ikeh was as nervous as ever he still gathered a little guts to address those sluts. He always did walk around in a jumpsuit like that suitor who visits Bisi everyday. His Igbo accent flourished with pidgin diminishes his English when ever he spoke giving room for the linguist in our school to use as a case study when talking of mother tongue nonsense.
His fanta face and coca-cola leg mama Nkechi describes as a factory error of the producers of caro white. That bow leg of his Malam Audu mai shayi laughs at privately but still hails him as the next Ahmad Musa. Even the father of raggae Bob Marley would have given him an award if still breathing, he always allowed the brown village dust to cover it giving room for lace n dandruff. What of his lips? Forget about its tattered looks, the village girls gossip saying his girlfriend must be crazy to kiss those, its huge structure like the camels in the movie "The Mummy"
   Yes! His girlfriend Franklin
Only God knows where she got that name from. By birth her mama n papa called her Omoshewa Ajoke Babatunde but ever since she visited the city on her arrival changing everything concerning her heritage but that fool forgot to remove her Yoruba tongue always putting a "H" in place of an "A" she loudly calls "Abigail" "Habigail" or "Again" as " Hegain"
A perfect with him.
   Alas!
He dressed in an America suit trying to adjust the tie he never wore, his huge feet in a rubber sandals trying to have mutual understanding with the rough village sands using his handkerchief to wipe the excess dust the white men vehicles left behind. His nose like the back of papa Michael 190 showcasing his mighty nostrils like the twins well beside Adaobi's house. He waved at the passersby to show he just brushed his brown dirty teeth.
Now in the podium I sighted Ikeh talking with Albert the German. The microphone was now handed to him
"Oh Lord" I said closing my eyes because I know he will make a mess of the presentation bringing room to the downgrading of our village. Then in seconds my heart sank on hearing his German English. The crowd in amusement
*So Ikeh can speak English fluently?*

I Am Nigerian

I am Sky high
Black face
Bold looks
With thoughts dancing on the rail of time
I am moving train
Extravagant looks
Exciting struggles
With a mind focused
I am sharp smile
Seducing worries
Searching for delighted sparkle
With dreams larger than Africa

I am Nigerian

Crawling Mothers

I feel sad when i see you the same,
For decades you remain lame,
It is indeed a pity or late blame,
But i just pray you shouldn't go the way you came.

Many mock my abilities and call me names,
But no one knows what i feel deep down,
Just like how the sun rise, the dawn shall dawn,
Till then let me continue to mourn as a crawling mother.

Her Attitude

The way she spoke elegant indeed,
Spears of truth too hard to believe,
Then words of hers won't be melting,
Too blinded I was to see.

Spears of truth too hard to believe,
Her teeth bright like my heart's star,
Too blinded I was to see,
Fake sympathy she was covered in.

Her teeth bright like my heart's star,
If only I knew my heart had no star,
Fake sympathy she was covered in,
I would have learnt to walk alone,

If only I knew my heart had no star,
Then words of hers won't be melting,
I would have learnt to walk alone,
The way she spoke elegant indeed.

Our Love

Our Love
Sometimes i wonder about the wonders of the world,
If our love was a breeze,it would be the kind acknowledged from Heaven,
If our love was a song,we the best nation can't compete,
If our love was a butterfly, ever specie must envy its beauty,
If our love was a piece of art,the world's best architect won't be able to sketch,
If our love was a diary,it would be bigger and more fun than Jenifa's diary,
If our love was a hurricane, it will definitely be Hurricane Maria,
If our love was a mafia,it would be known all over the globe,
If our love was rain,it will rain ice every day,
If our love was a person,it would be no one but me,
If our love was temperature, it would be a mixture of cold and hot,
If our love was a disease,it would be the uncurable Love syndrome,
If our love was me,i will always choose you,
If only my words can describe our love, then Oxford dictionary will seek my advice,
But our love isn't any of these,
Our love is an undescribed feeling,
Our love is filled up wit adventures, trust, honesty, integrity, mention them all,
I am always speechless when i think of u,
I seriously can't describe u to anyone because the words i use will be ashamed of the belittlement.
This is our love,
Nothing but a blossom of happiness filled with acceptance and trust, with one destination to reach its peak of glory.
Much love.

Resolution

Read between their lines carefully
East, West understand their logic peacifully
Solidify their potentials proudly
Outline the deadlines of cell and see...
Look out for poor grains of life
Unify your voice to their direction
Tune into the voice of no heart, trust me, you may live long
Iron no facts of truth
Own the code of self respect and only then
New things will follow you up there.

Cauliflower

Soft,gentle and sweet all day,
You make me always want to pray,
For taught like yours no one can pay,
You are nothing but my Cauliflower.

Everybody queuing up to see your face,
But i will never let them touch you with their hands full of lace,
For taught of you makes me want to dance,
You are indeed my Cauliflower.

You are mingling in my taught,
People tried but you cannot be caught,
For a heart like yours cannot be bought,
You are my treasured Cauliflower.

A heart like yours all covered with affection,
Not even a bad seed of rejection,
For those who envy would be struck with an injection,
My darling Cauliflower.

You are welcome to tour my heart,
But beware you won't find anything but your art,
I have done my part,
Nothing can change because you are my Cauliflower.

Smiles of my Cauliflower kill,
Height of my Cauliflower like a hill,
Let me keep calm and stay still,
For no one can replace my Cauliflower.
MY CAULIFLOWER

Pandora

**PANDORA*

All you can hear is a deep shallow cackle
Eyes filled with thirst for the world
Lips so pure you can feel the taste of adventure
Pandora!
The glaring glass of beauty
Such treason
Her smiles rooms deepest worries
Her hands a beacon, the signal light for enemies

*PANDORA*
Hail the dark queen
Daughter of lord Lucifer
Her soul is the shinning moon
Ready to inflict the world with her sufferings.
Cruel like a broken bottle
You tricked me; and betrayed my trust.
Fed me with the forbidden fruit of evil
Now, I'm wicked
Evil lives within her rage
Dangerous like the rumbling thunder.

A victim of smiles and insidious trauma
Inflicting her share on the world
Slowly she mocks the living with air to breathe
Grasping souls
Seducing men with just a twist
A twist and that smile
That turns oceans to bleeding red sea
Sea of pains and tears

 Dark hair turns grey
Even the loving heart got burnt.
The flowing river weeps the contagious tears.
While the mighty sun shines with coldness
I'm lost on the earthly world.
She want justice!
But her kindness spread evil
Stake our heart with a deadly dagger

 A serial killer
Not of bodies but souls
Handing the key to the devil
Pandora
The daughter bore of the earth
Hail the dark queen
Mother of wandering souls
Father to wandering souls
And a guardian to us

 Pandora!
You brought sour to our lives.
Death to our fate.
The gods are angry
You shall be buried beneath our feet.
Your blood shall be use to cleanse our mother's land.
Along with your atrocities
The era of eradicating your evil act.
The devil shall pay for the price
