In a place unknown by you and me.

Raspberries
Ripened by the sunshine
Red and very juicy
Ready for me to eat
Rich in vitamin c
Really nice as snacks
Rinse before you eat them -
Risk of small wriggly worms!...

Raspberries
Rich in vitamin C,
Red and juicy is this
Rubus plant genus that
Requires sun and rain in
Regions moist and clement.
Russia leads in their growth.
Roses they are kin to!...

Ripe, sometimes small
Also good for vitamin C
Nothing can taste the same
Given its flavour and healing quality's
Everyone should have an orange a day...

Critterature: Gourmet Or Gourmand
The aardvark is a quirky beast,
Uniquely dentalated,
And to the armadillo gastronomically related.
He dines on termites, ants, and such,
Most any bug his tongue can touch,
On fruits and veggies, not so much,
Unless he's running low on Vitamin C…
Or needs to be re-regulated....

Eat Your Peas
Children are never too young to learn healthy eating habits. Why not try teaching
your children the value of healthy eating through song? "Eat Your Peas" is a song,
sung to the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".
Eat, eat, eat your peas!
They're so good for you.
They're filled with fiber and Vitamin C-
and they're tasty, too!...

The Bottle Gourd Rhyme
I am tall, I am slender,
Light Green but not cucumber.
Have a snout, have a tail,
Found in market & even retail.
Packed with Vitamin C, K & Calcium,
I punch my weight in nutrition.
Eat me & get a healthy heart, Bring down cholesterol & fat!
I am 90% water & light,
& can climb up with delight.
Eat me & be wise,
as solid, liquid or otherwise!...

The Conversationalist
Palms full of pamplemouse
bitter refrain
Catching a cold in the
still pouring rain
Vitamin C on the tip
of my tongue
but I'm not as healthy
as when I was young
You lost me there somewhere
back on my old street
where we would tell stories
and nightly would meet
Please search out to find me
I'm suffering in pain
You'll find me still standing
in still pouring rain....

Pine Needle Tea
When Europeans first began to migrate to this country
many of them began to die from an illness known as scurvy
because they could not find a nutritional source of vitamin C,
when in reality such a resource was abundantly plenty.
By simply taking the needles from any pine tree
and boiling it in water, they could have brewed pine needle tea.
which is a great nutritional source of vitamin C
and in my opinion also is very tasty....

Goiter
Little of no Vitamin C
And Scurvy is what you shall see;
The iodine-poor diet: Goiter
And it’d continue to loiter:
A lot of pulsing and bouncing
Like a ball for a team’s trouncing;
On one’s sad neck hanging around,
Auto-immune disorders hound!
Then, somehow, can one it avoid
And have not The Bogus Thyroid:
Lots of what richly give Iodine
Safe diet, no Cimetidine...
Goiter not good for camera,
Snapshots skipping it chimera....

The Food Revolution
The organic food
The non-cholesterol eggs
The non-cholesterol cooking oil
The omega-3 eggs
The vegetarian food
The sugarfree sweets
The less sugar
The high fibre less salt
The acid-free vitamin C
The multivitamin enriched
The herbs
The many types of healthy food
The man starts a food revolution by himself
Which should be commenced
At the very beginning
As he must be grateful to his body and
The Creator
Hope it's not too late now...

Rose Hip Jam Wins the War
When oranges and cherries were scarce during World War Two,
School children still needed Vitamin C, so what to do?
Rose hip jam was discovered, made of roses, so cold.
By scientists, who tried hard to figure it out, big and bold.
So the jam was made from the gorgeous winter roses so red,
And it kept the sweet and the happy in children as they climbed into bed.
Rose hip jam, your vitamin C was fresh and pulp-full,
And it kept scared children’s dreams a bit more hopeful!...

Oppressive Orange
Speaking of oppressive orange,
where do we find it?
Is it in the Orange Revolution
in Ukraine,
when there were political wrangles?
Is it in a sour orange juice that a two
year-old child is forced to take,
to get vitamin c?
Is it in a wall painted orange in a house,
while one of the couples wanted white?
Is it in the mid-day sun that burns
our backs and heads in summer?
Or, is it in the dictionary,
where words are coined every day?
Theme #Oppressive Orange...
