Colours
CHOCOLATE melts in my hands,
so I eat an OLIVE instead.

While smelling the pungent scent of LAVENDER
ORCHIDS soak up the sun.

Reflected off an ULTRAMARINE sea,
the evening is ROYAL PUPRPLE....

Brokenhearted Blue
I took my Cobalt,
And mixed with Ultramarine,
To lay in this painting,
The color of this love.

Setting the mood in this piece,
This color so cold and real,
Here on my canvas,
The color of my tears.

Once sunlit bright,
Now somewhere between Midnight and Navy,
Since you have been gone,
The color inside me....

Echoing Sea
Whispers of sweet nothings through my ears
Roaring yet soothing tunes interrupted my veins
Small boats abiding the collision of fears
Abandoning the bundled senses of pain

The briny tang became acidic to the heart
With coral and ultramarine that entwined violently
A hurricane of wolves galloping like surreal art
I fall back, drowning into the depths of vibrancy...

Solitude of Iris Incense Nightfall

Still solitude drips saffron in sunsets
Twilight tinsel tames tangerine tempests
Lilac lullaby lilts lulling lyric –
Diadems of daydreams dulcet delight
Offers ochre cheerful companion of calm
Unruffled ultramarine universe
Ebb of eventide in ebony escape

ILLUMINATION

a school-ager swings
PAST the emerald trees
to crystalline stars
she aims high
with outstretched legs
heart pounding

she jumps landing
soundly on sensible feet
in the PRESENT
wise with solid roots
climbs the tree of logic

bumbling into the FUTURE
a scholar’s taken a beating
the ultramarine sky calls
she covers herself in yarn
colorizing stars with needles

Blue
I took my Cobalt,
And mixed with Ultramarine,
To lay in this painting,
Quiet easily seen.

Setting the mood in this piece,
This color so cold and real,
Here on my canvas,
Coloring the tears I feel.

Somewhere between Midnight and Navy,
Not only the color that I see,
But since you have been gone,
The color inside me.

I am a Nightingale…
singing a song of lavender dreams and hopes, under an ultramarine canvas blending turquoise sky and sapphire ocean,
twilight moon flickering ribbons of love,
my audience - the pearlescent clouds, gleaming stars, souls with a poetic heart!

Drive In
Pale blue and pink hooded tumbleweeds
Roll down the concrete corridor
Orange sodium vapor half lights
Half lit yellow tagged parking lot
Illuminated fake plastic trees all in a row
While acetylene fires stroke an ultramarine sky
Under stars
Corner homeless stumps and slumps and dumps
Warmed by desolation desert asphalt steam pumps
Electronic red laser reader
Smiling chain link razor wire jerk off greeter
“How are you today, Mr. Jones?”...

Premium Member In a Cerulean Garden
A sapphire spark and alchemical light floods my brain; indigo wings fluttering among the irises draw faeries from their lair; they flit throughout the garden, stirring turquoise nectar...bee treats. Cobalt rust explodes from a tiny bud; ultramarine poppies, with blue-hued fanned flames, dance in the azure light. Exhilarating light-flare of teal and white rays; purple irises among the bluebells.

Premium Member Zinc White and Blue Ultramarine
I hear currawongs threading
their melodic calls through
the trees, sewing a dark
into the cold air.
And far below,
a flock of white cockatoos
screech their noisy chaos
along the deepening shadows
of the valley floor.

They seem like dabs
of zinc white escaping
from a painting, sprouting
wings to lift them
from the canvas
and fly them to where
they flicker on the edge
of the unseen,
before dissolving forever
into the distances
of blue ultramarine.

The Colors of Living Life
i was dreaming of
  colors inside
my lonely Soul of
Cobalt violet
and viridian skies
Inside keeping my
heart so cadmium yellow;
Claude Monet's lilies
keeps me alive.
Imagine cobalt blue,
a peace upon the canvas
lead white kissing
with French ultramarine skies
and we hold hands
-- where we leave grief
and misunderstanding
behind. Kissing beneath
the sun i say, "Cadmium
Orange hugging Vermilion"
And the world murmurs
"That's so very true."
