At the Bottom
Steep escalator
teeth like an alligator….
shards of wooden oar

Biden Has Said, That He Is In Good Form
Biden has said, that he is in good form
And ready to run for his second term.
"But with one condition"-He thoughtfully said,
I will use escalator, of ladder instead!...

On the Move
One goes up one goes down,
Many feet trample it,
Hands on the rail,
Bag on your arm,
It will never tire,
But !!! It could break down,
It's modern engineering,
Many places have them,
It's an escalator....

So Lazy
We take the lazy option
when given a choice
walk upstairs or ride the escalator
it’s our health that says see you later

We take the crazy option
when given a choice
park legally or be a handicap
everyone is thinking, you weedy sap...

Not Quite Right
Not quite right

 I am old and disabled,
but i like to get out and about.
The other day i went to the Mall,
but the escalator was broken.
I don"t mind the stairs,
i get there in the end.

It"s the stares i hate
they never seem to end....

Premium Member Trapped On An Escalator
During a power outage, some people got trapped on an escalator Sounds silly to me but hopefully, they'll all be rescued later But the result is a trauma Best advice is a sauna Come to think of it, it's a lot better than on an elevator

Emotionless Drifter
I'm drifting by on a escalator
spinning in circles like a fan belt.
everyones floating by and
I can't remember what I felt.

My life is teen tv show and
I can't remember what happened yesterday.
So how am I supposted to conversate
when I cant remember people from today....

Premium Member Angels On An Escalator
angels on an escalator

moving cloud silent
towards a sunburst crack
in a dark winters sky.

appearing, white feather wings
golden halos glinting
as in pictures on gallery walls.

old masters saw them
I am sure now
They tried to help us all

because there they are
lined up step over step
reaching for heaven....

Two Eloping Evergreen Hearts
Two eloping hearts evergreen like equatorial rainforests, entwined in the eternal escalator of love, leaving a trail of lovely lavender fragrance; her touchscreen face tempting him to touch, to caress carelessly and to bring about cascaded tapestry . ===================================== By:kashinath karmakar (19th Feb.2011)

Women's Ways
Elevators ride east going west
Leaning in the right direction
Girls inside grow up thin and rich
Pretty, beyond color, beyond touch
Once on the escalator of life
Life goes sideways
The mall has it all at a cost
Uterus smiles, ideas spring forth
Pink, beyond reach, beyond price
Women want what women need
Everything marked down twice
Below retail of course would be nice...

Been too long in solitude.
 Sounds hound, multitude.
 Cacophony and breathless

Wheel up to escalator.
 Nowhere an elevator.
 Bewildered and helpless.

Mad world, haste, blind
 Homeless man, so kind.
 Mindless and hateless.

Carries wheels and bag,
 And boy on friendly back.
 Smiling and careless.

Boy shares drink and food,
 Smiles, and feel good.
 Man and boy, selfless....

Premium Member When I Let One Loose In the Elevator
When I let one loose in the elevator,
I preferred to be on an escalator
It seemed to worsen every floor
With no escape, just a tightly closed door!

People turned around, looking at me
When one pushed the emergency button to flee
Somehow, we came to a sudden halt
And I knew it was time to admit my fault!

The Exchange
Her voice, her tone bewitched

Like every staircase, escalator...

ever travelled all stopping
at her door...

Her voice mail was a taxi fare away...

Exchanges carried by fearless inhibition...

Like a storm without direction...

All weathers applaud her...

This reflection of her voice...

Mirrored by distant yet doubtless tone...

This tone, this honesty, this love...

This exchange...All angels know......

Premium Member Soul Whisperings
Amid the whisperings of my wandering soul,
I grasped at straws,
reaching for truth,
but finding none.
Searching for one good man,
but discovering Him gone.
Seeking wisdom,
while gaining only knowledge.
Needing elevation to some higher plateau,
while on an escalator rushing nowhere.
Striving to attain the unattainable with works.
Unable to control my simplest situation,
from my souls depth, in desperation , cried I.
"Please Lord, save me, a sinner"...

Excavator V Escalator
Excavator V Escalator

Escalator, to the Top it puts
Excavator rives and ruts;
and it effectively undercuts!

One is a symbol of Mirth
Another; symbol of wrath
and destruction of Earth!

Escalator is a symbol or Fort
Paradigm of Human effort
the other; of bloody sport!

But most, Irony of this Writ
is that one is pretty neat
While another is full if shit!

So, in Life be a Detector
of which is the Escalator
and which is an Excavator!
