I’m just Saying
So yall, here are some sayings. Some are from wayyyy back in the day, I’m talking ‘bout the 70’s up to current, and they all have meanings. Many of you may have heard them and know what they mean, while some of you may have not. But the good news is, if you know, you know, and if you don’t, you can always ask somebody (Smile)

To make a long story short - She for da streets
Don’t judge a book by its cover - Like white on rice
Whoever said it made it - He dodged a bullet
Black sheep of the family - Spinning da block
A hard head make a soft behind - He down bad fa dat
Yo momma be tripping - Please believe me
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it - God don’t like ugly
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander
Lie down with a dog, you gon get fleas
She ain’t gon play with me - You better lay low
Once you go black, you never go back - Stay woke
Every dog got dey day - Off da chain - Bet
A closed mouth don’t get fed - He high as a kite
Hook me up - I’m dead serious - Not on my watch
Tryna make a dollar outta 15 cent - My bad
It’s raining cats and dogs - She older than dirt
Chile she look a hot mess - Black don’t crack
No news is good news - I ain’t da one - He ghosted her
One monkey don’t stop no show - Bish Please
Don’t get me started - She lying through her teeth
What goes up, must come down - Break me off
You gon learn today - Put up or shut up
That ain’t nothing but the devil - I could never
You better than me - I wish a n…. would
What you do in the dark gon come out in the light
Don’t count yo chickens before they hatch
Chile Please - It takes two to tango - That’s cold
I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired - Say less
You want yo cake and eat it too - Who gon tell her?
If it ain’t one thing it’s another - It is what it is
Long as I owe you, you’ll never go broke - Move around
Robbing Peter to pay Paul - You doing da most
Stop airing out yo dirty laundry - Like a fly on the wall
You ain’t ‘bout that life - If the shoe fit, wear it
I done washed my hands with her - Shut the front door
Treat yourself, don’t cheat yourself - I know you lying
If it don’t fit, don’t force it - Say it ain’t so - No cap
Watch I wash yo mouth out with soap - Keep it 100
You couldn’t handle me if you tried - Oh she on one
Where there’s a will there’s a way - That’s what’s up
You better find somebody else to play with - It was lit
Don’t knock it till you try it - You best believe
You can’t have the cow without the calf - I got tea
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me

If you can’t stand the heat, get out the kitchen

The early bird get the worm - You snooze you lose
You don’t miss your water till yo well run dry
Let the doorknob hit cha where the good Lord split ya

You ain’t got a pot to pss on and a window to throw it out
If you ain’t got nothing nice to say don’t say nothing at all…
