Musical Mouse

A mouse that plays a violin, you are kidding, right?
I rolled my eyes at her disbelief, ignoring the gentle slight.
Come on! You are serious? Where did he get his violin?
Remember the music box you used to put your jewelry in?

My cousin ran to the box and looked. Her tiny violin pin was gone.
But did it have a bow? She asked me, staring out into the dawn.
You are invited too, I told her. He will be playing down by the pond.
We have attended six of his concerts now, of this musician we are fond.
