I like your hair-line, the curve of your spine,
you don't know how glad to be out of nine by nine,
so I can breathe, grateful to be able to perceive,
somrone said: 'you'll always be here, never leave.'
I like that guy John Andrew, reincarnated from the book,
he looks different now they say, every time I look,
and bloody Phaedrus, does anyone read his columns?
someone has to clean up the mess, every time he comes.
I like the white light that Gaugin went to seek,
the strength of you when everyone else was weak,
I stand with the guys, we lie to each other,
you wonder how it would be if you were my lover.
I like being here, remembering when I was there,
they'll never know, the easy part is pretending to care.
