Each time it fairs to be real

There once was a naughty girl from L.A.
On Halloween she put on a display
She got dressed as a cell phone
Her push buttons made men groan
And she led many men far astray.

Time in the form of a handsome Halloween clock
Came down from the heavens with a tick and a tock
Witches and goblins gave Time a ride on their swing
Understanding that Time would soon November bring.

The clown, yes, a clown, she did stop for gas.
Surprised, yes, I was. I saw her through glass.
With sparkle of hues,
And squeak of her shoes,
The clown, yes, a clown, did step out for gas.

Halloween Haiku
(9.7.10)
Suburban parade:
A night to transform yourself,
and beg without shame.
Subsequent morning:
Pillowcases wear make up-
Wrappers and trinkets.
The Thanksgiving porch:
Mouth with one neglected tooth-
The jack-o-lantern.

Bumps in the night can be a curse
But I can't think of anything worse
Than thoughts that echo in your head
Of things you wish you had not said
The wrongs that you can never right
Regrets that keep you up at night
A wig, a mask, false blood, vamp teeth
Cannot compete with loss and grief

Halloweenie, Halloweenie It's, a meany, scarey time
tonight. Children dressed like scarey creatures, wagging features, will
you get home safe all right. Thunder rolling, mind controlling.
Is this what the Goulies do? Wish, Wish get on the disk, it's a scarey time tonight.

Lots of candy for eating

On Halloween this very day,
We all dress up to scare away.
All the ghosts and evil to
So don't do things, these people do.
So give them sweets to go away
On the festival of,samhain day.
For just two nights of pagan rites,
To keep the ghosts at bay,
We dress up and put on our masks
To keep the devil away.

She glows in the night;
everyone looks at her with awe.
She sleeps in the day,
and wakes up in the night.
Many poets and writers are inspired
by her mysterious nature.
She doesn't need to advertise or announce
to anyone to be seen;
she just appears right outside your window
or above your head during Halloween....

There is something about midnight-mysteries
are wrapped inside it. Fairy tales talk of girls
like Cinderella and the witch's warning,
most movies end at such a time, Halloween is
at its peak at that moment……
All I see are two time hands pointing at number 12,
separating two days, as superstitions
keep the hour relevant in mystery.

Harvest Ale, pumpkins for sale
Breezy colors floating flying
Fluttering leaves, dying trees
With each colorful beginning
Of yellow, orange, red,
Marks a yucky ending;
crispy brown, and dead.
Hot apple cider, and Halloween
Trick or treat, but tricks are mean.
Rows of scarecrows, gardening hoes
For fields of squash not squish.

I hate Halloween,
It make me want to scream,
It make me want to go to sleep on Halloween.
It make me want to think,
It make me want to dream,
It make me want to dream of next Halloween.
It make me want to shout,
It make me want to yell,
It make me want to go to the House of Scare.
I hate Halloween,
I hate Halloween,
I just can’t wait till next Halloween!

Oh Halloween babe
born under October's moon
weave with forlornment
your bewitching adornment
of a harvest leaf festoon.
Faces in pumpkins
awake memories of when
the children were young;
and "Trick-or-Treat!" rung
the holiday season in.
Scorpio woman
wipe away your wistful tear
and tend to the craft
of your birthday draught
to toast your forty-first year.
