Crown, forehead, mouth, heart
Were released
Were redeemed
I bathed in living water
White towel wore me

What you first come to learn
when emotions are raw
Bakes time eternal,
old men to recall
Before holy baptism

The years forever lost to time
but each moment is perpetual
Dreams packed and stored in the instant
of the wills inception
Centuries of regret erased
in the flash of a second baptism
Stillness calling us inward
—eternally reborn

The rock,
stands against the wind
in centuries old calm
Counting the years until
our baptism,
sinking deeper still
Stoic to tell
lest we forget, engraved
on a hill of blinding sun
Of barefoot
painted dancers,
and children—future come

Baptism grasps, water channels multiply surface
Scissored scenes lay platters simutaneously
Owl eyed creek spurs my metamorphosis
Billowing claim is domain of striving trees
Frigid inhalation arrests latent vulnerability
Surrendour, dove's fallen feather alleviates
Split awareness open as oyster delivers me
Vantage announced by intricacies of lace

Fill me with Your love
And dip me in Your joy;
Pour and smear Your oil
Of anointing on my head.
Set me on godly Fire
With your precious Holy Spirt,
And with the mighty rushing wind
Fan the eternal flame.
May I speak with cloven tongues
And wisdom in every city.
Endue me with your power
To be your witness.
So, let the siren sound
Throughout town and country
As the nation is set ablaze
With a wild and consuming Fire.

It's a dirty world,
and the longer you live,
the dirtier you get.
(Paraphrase of Stephen King, Blaze)
It's a violent Earth,
and the longer we live,
the more automated violence we beget.
We're a suffering EarthTribe
and the longer we live
naturally and spiritually disassociated,
the more painfully Earth degenerates.
It was a forested world
with wealthy oceans,
and the longer we potentially lived,
the more healthy reforested Earth would get.

Contest: Pieces
All in Pieces
I turn the cold, sparkling, silver knobs
and the raging hot water splatters up the porcelain.
Milky bubbles effervesce the scent of lavender,
and I plunge into the baptism of fire.
The water scalds and blisters my skin.
Let it burn.
Let it hurt.
Let me feel my flesh ripple and peel to the surface.
Poached parchment—
memories to be shed.
Blood streams from my wounded skin.
Your acidic stain is replaced with
raw, fragrant flesh.

For what Baptism has left unsolved
Any Darwinian hope for the Newly Evolved?
There mustn’t be another vile scar
From a cheating on a flying car!
Vera should’ve the thing tried at some bar,
Just for her man, everywhere A Star,
To pursuers unreachable because far …
Yes, round The Scandalous had the thing revolved,
The subject not likely to be absolved,
Because of the inglorious lot involved
And an infuriating infidelity scarcely resolved…
A marriage to escape being dissolved

Into the water now I go to die
That I may live again
Live now O Christ for me, and no more I
Glory, I am born again
To your Holy Spirit I yield my life
Yield it again for me
By grace alone I win in all my strife
Thanks, O Lord you ransomed me
Under the water I take your image now
Day by day led by you
Your sweet covenant and law becomes my vow
Pray for me, Lord, keep me true.
By faith alone my flesh shall die in grace
O Christ, now cover me
Make me a witness in thy full embrace
Hosannah, you ransomed me.

Of all the world this century I see
What shimmers – artifice devoid of soul.
Pneumatic truncheons burying dreams of She,
The Mother, under satin sheets of coal.
If would mine eyes deceive me not I’d think
It just a putrid fantasy, from which
The shadows formed by tortured lids could blink
Awake into the rays from which no niche
Could cling like pincers holding darkness gripped.
Inverted it would seem the very Laws,
When God can’t stop in poison water dipped,
The baptism of Earth in fossil maws.
I pray that life – eternal Hope so fair,
Can snatch redemption from morose Despair.

Dramatic Verse

And the water rolling down a mountain does the talking
where the streams murmuring echoes inside this earth
Heart of one thousand whispers enters the soul
rendering homage to Justice
sin is an outrage to Thy Majesty
Vain driven desires will never see the truth
where demons reveal themselves in all their hideousness
disturbed minds trying to appear normal
Silence is the burden of those that are trapped
trauma within an internal fire driven by hate burns
filled with fearful despair
this miracle is greater than creation itself
when the Potter turns and fires the clay created
so the suffering evil will literally become ashes
Remember His coming brightness It outshines the sun

Call me a humble Knight
who'd dismantle all corruption
in catabolism
watching over you even at night
as our present dark moments
transform through baptism
to what we once enjoyed: The Light!
Shielding you in my structured protoplasm
as I take you all to new heights.
Definitely, I expect criticism
but they should guide our flight.
As we come together to function
like one Organism.
Please listen to me and sit tight.
I'm not here to steal your minds
as in alcoholism
not to cause a campaign fight
cos they may break the Country's nerves
condemning it to a state of National Autism
Your burdens, I'll carry with all my might
and doing otherwise?
I consider Cannibalism.

You cannot practise dying, though we want to do it well
We don’t want to appear foolish when we might be in hell
We can practise smiling and opening the door
Unless like me you’re crippled and you’re feeling very low
You can practise music, you can practise Art
You can practise hiding in the burrows of the heart
Then you get to go on stage and do it all for real
Dying ain’t for dummies but allow yourself to feel
You can practise for your wedding, your baptism and your fall
In the hall of mirrors where God lives off the wall
You can practise speaking, you can do it many ways
Then you must stop practising, and say the words today
In the little spaces in between the sounds
Let yourself be emptied, you are on the Holy Ground

The flashy, thunderous announcement
of your unexpected visit on the hot summer day
scares the crap out of the pigeons in the square -
cannoning them into the air -
but soon
they are diving and gliding as they discover
that you are cool as you high-heel dance
the tarry breath out of tired and dusty roads.
But in the grasses of the park the sudden deluge
causes workers to abandon their burdens, and confusedly
hasten to save nappied babies and the queendom from flooding.
The sun worshippers temporarily abandon their religion
as they unbow their heads for a sparkling new baptism
but as their fiery god reappears, you take flight,
confetting the air with your one-word calling card:

beat, bellow and decay,
is there nothing more,
cold liquid crimson,
colorful tainting,
fallen from within,
down dark corduroy,
to the bridge's end,
descending stairway,
plunge into the abyss,
baptism by fire,
cauterized spirit,
fresh wounds pass away,
clear the dross,
to set the stage,
away with held breathe,
how it kills us,
to learn, to listen,
freedom within dependence,
the scent of melon,
the night fragrant,
senses awakened,
memories lead on,
through velvet poetry,
softly sleep soothes,
lines drawn with the shades,
where sand buries lies,
these translucent chameleons,
change like water,
the cages weaken,
relinquish their quarry

The two kinds of sins are Original and Actual Sins
Original Sin is what we inherit our first parents, Mama Eve, Papa Adam
We are brought into the world with guilt on our soul
Original Sin was transmitted by natural generation to all his descendants
We are cleansed only through Baptism
The other kind is Actual sin
Actual sin is any willful thought, desire, word action or omission forbidden by the law of Eternal God
Chief sources of actual sin are Pride, Covetousness, Lust, Anger, Gluttony, Avarice, Sloth or Laziness
Actual sin or Daily Sin
We are cleansed only by the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Confession or Penance
We must first have the 3 initial sacraments
The 3 sacraments are Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist
Before the other 4 sacraments
To live in heaven with our Lord

I am in a paradox with visions of backwards clocks
knee high socks people popped with chicken pocks
the purple elephant has entered the room full of doom
who knew we had no clue what to do its gonna happen soon
rainbows reaction to reflection of water is beautiful
baptism parents raging priest slapping the lord is crucial
lines cleaned with a nose no one knows the blows
everyone dreams of life well lived we are all living our own shows
the laughter fades out the room with no reason for leaving
people taught old knowledge the monkey way of deceiving the believing
the shark fin in the water guard your daughter fathers
men are out there mixed chemicals looking for slaughters
lucky be lucky who lucky is thee never ever me
fighting life constantly like a leprechaun trying to climb a redwood tree. -TA

First, baptism. Next, he vowed defense for the U.S. after graduation
Really, this kid could take San Diego's boot camp
At age nine he left Belize, then worked two jobs while in high school
Now he's back in Belize with haunting of Dessert Storm -
Zestfully, he built homes, does electrical and plumbing.
The truth is, duodenal ulcer won't stop meddling
How is this Veteran to obtain benefits?
Every Honorable Veteran, deported, has his or her story.
Valley of the shadow of death was no joke
Even on the U.S.S. Saratoga, he listened, and heard God spoke
Ten plus six of his buddies, lost their lives in Dessert Storm
Even so, he defended this land he learned to love
Right now, he'd say; GOD BLESS THE U.S. OF A
At most, in Belize, folks calls him "Yankee"
Notify me how soon, my son in the U.S. can shine.

my life was not the same
when I got baptized and was born again
all the things that had hurt me had been washed away
and a great sense of love and peace I felt that day
the lord forgave me for all the things I had done
he did not look at my sins
but he looked at my heart and the person that I would become
he turned my life around
and in his eyes no traces of my past will be found
he gave me a second chance
a life with hope and his promises to hold on too
he blotted out my sins and he will do the same for you.
For James and leanne, your life will begin next month on your baptism,
James you will be healed when you are born again, say good bye dyslexia, good bye reflux
good bye exema, theese will be gone son, God said you will be healed, just believe it and
know that it is true and you will be free Amen , love you from mum.

The days slowly slumber in summer's liquid heat,
and flowers lie comatose in parched cracked beds,
as two bluejays squabble in bellicose tones
raging over baptism in a
twelve-dollar-ninety, nine-cent birdbath.
Duke naps in freshly dug dirt beneath
once green shrubs, with ears twitching
away pesky flies, and I, in manly khaki shorts,
and a Sooner T-shirt contemplate
tug-of-war with garden weeds, but opt
instead for a brew down at the bar.
Dampness feels like a gauzy veil on my face, and
I inhale the faint smell of tobacco
as if wafts through city crowds,
while loud notes leap boldly from apartment windows,
and steamy mirages waver, then disappear from
hot asphalt streets.
With shoes that slap my heels with each step,
I climb upon the barstool at Joe's, and order a draw
with my cap on backwards, I watch the game...
I am cool.
